We are getting great feedback about the newly remodeled space. Each person that comes in comments on how much more open it feels to be in here. If you haven’t been in the store for a while, come see the new layout.
Below you’ll see our January financial report. You’ll see that we no longer have a category for Art Sales. Since the remodel we are focusing entirely on the free store. Look for an additional blog post this month that covers all of 2022.
Our Miscellaneous expenses look really high this month because we bought a new $700 refrigerator for the food pantry. One of our members fully reimbursed us for the expense though.
The New Fridge
Lots of people bring us food to keep it stocked. We are working on our application for the Midwest Food Bank to add to what we are getting. And we’ve made some connections with local caterers to donate leftover food. One of our regulars works in school cafeteria and got permission to bring us leftovers from there. It’s amazing!
